Launch PDF from 3rd Party App using protected mode

I am attempting to launch a pdf that is stored from within a 3rd party document management software.

The PDF launch buy does not behave as expected.

When I turn protected mode off, this works as expected.

Is there a way to allow all PDF's launched from an application to open without protected mode on?

Have you opened Reader (with no pdf opened) and gone to Edit>Preferences>Security (enhanced)>Sandbox Protections and disabled "Enable protected mode at startup"?

Thanks for your response.

Yes, we have done that and it worked.

Unfortunately our Security team want to leave Protected mode at Startup on.
