Moving a file to a jump drive

I was able in recent months to copy a file to a jump drive, now I can't do that.  I wanted to print the file that had a few hundred pages to view and have the printing done at a local office supply store.  I was able in the past just to copy the file to a jump drive, but now I see every file I open the saving icon is not highlighted and I can't do the transfer the file.  Nor can I figure out how to email to my email address. If I could email it to myself, I could copy it from the email to the jump drive.

Can anyone help me with my problem of just trying to get the file copied to the jump drive?  Like I said, I was able to do it just recently, but now all my files don't show the save icon highlighted.
