pdf created using iPad and saved to shared drive opens blank in Acrobat Reader DC

A colleague edits and saves a pdf using an iPad running the latest IOS. I am trying to open these files from a shared drive using Windows 10 Acrobat Reader DC (version 2020.009.20067 (latest as far as I can tell).

When I open the file it shows blank fields on the document. However, if I print the document it prints fine. If I open the document in a Chrome browser window it opens showing all content. It alsmost seems as if the file is locked when I open it .

Why is Reader DC not displaying the contents of the file. Screenshot from file properties attached.
