PDF won't automatically open in Adobe

My computer is set to automatically open PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  However, every time I attempt to open a PDF the popup still comes up asking me to confirm the program I want to open it in.  I'm using Windows 10.

    Tutorial just popped up when zipping a download. How many hours I could have saved by getting this on Adobe's site when I logged in. Also---for us challenged people...would be nice to know we MUST have our PDF in the CLOUD in order to convert. LOVE the program. HORRIFIED by the mysticism.
