PDFs are poor quality - font issues

Since I downloaded the latest adobe it has screwed up my pdfs, they are hard to read, the fonts are not proper and I can get a hold of anyone in this company. Wanting to get back to my old reader, but don't know how. Is there any way of contacting this company. Not impressed with this company.\
