Preflight check for Colour Destination

Is it possible to run a Preflight check to see if a PDF is of a certain Colour Destination? The PDF doesnt have an embedded ICC profile.... would that be the only way of keeping track of the Colour Destination—to embed it.

The colour destination IS a profile. No profile, no destination. I assume by "colour destination" you mean "output intent" as used in PDF/X? Or do you just mean profile tagged colour?
