hi

we are using the latest version of adobe reader DC. Machine is windows 8.1.

when a user has adobe open, and tries to save the file., it will hang adobe 9 times out of 10.

for example, a user recieves an email with a pdf, she opens it in adobre reader. when she goes to save it, it hangs and has to be killed from the task bar.

alternatively, before opening it,. she right clicks on the file in outlook, and chooses save, and she can save it anywhere.

any suggestions on what i can check

i allready did the following

Edit > Preferences > 3D & Multimedia > Uncheck "Enable hardware rendering for legacy video cards"

Edit > Preferences > General > Uncheck "Enable protected mode at startup"

Edit > Preferences > Internet > Uncheck "Allow speculative downloading in the background"

Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > Uncheck "Enable enhanced security"

    Hi SuperHans111111,

Thanks for sharing the detailed information and trying the troubleshooting steps.

As mentioned above, when you are trying to "Save" the document application freezing.

You may change some some preferences settings as suggested in the forum thread "save as" pop up box does not allow me to save the document. where quite similar issue has been addressed, and see if that works in this scenario.

    Let us know the update.

    Regards,

    Hi

unfortunately that did not fix the issue, the user is still experiencing hanging when she goes to save a pdf.
