Question

Some parts of the app look dark and highlighting is temporarily black

Hi! Just today, my free trial of Adobe Acrobat Reader and DC version are having technical issues.

Issues are similar to each other: highlighting is black when selected and some buttons look dark.

I tried attaching a screenshot but it shows as black.  Since screenshots are not linked to the Adobe app, maybe I need to find another way to clean the PC.  I already tried CC Cleaner but not luck.

I tried updating both apps but not luck.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck.

Any advice would be appreciated

Hello Ap,

We're sorry for the trouble and for a delayed response, are you still experience the issue? Would you mind sharing more details about the issue you are facing?

Are you referring to the color of the application as black? Or to a PDF file?

You can change the color of the Highlight tool, go to Comment Tool, select 'Highlight tool', highlight a word, right-click and choose 'Properties' Highlighter Tool Properties dialog box will open from where you can change the color of highlight.

Try capturing a screenshot of the screen where you get black and post the screenshot, to post a screenshot, refer to https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot

Make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed, check for the latest update from help menu of Adobe Reader>Check for updates, reboot the machine after installing the updates and check.

Let us know if you experience any issue.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
