I am a long time user of Adobe PDF Pack and now for some reason when I go into Tools and click on Create a PDF it takes me to a blank page instead of asking me for the document/file I wish to convert. Being able to create pdfs is important to me., can somebody help?

    Hi Paul,

Which computer you are working on? Or what is the operating system installed on it?

If it doesn't work then uninstall reader using cleaner tool- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And reinstall- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

    And see if that helps.

    Hi Paulnm,

How you have been trying to Create pdf? Is it using the Adobe Reader DC desktop application or online via- https://cloud.acrobat.com/

If you are trying through the desktop application, then you may try online https://cloud.acrobat.com/  and see if that works.

    Also, to troubleshoot this problem-

    Reboot your computer.

    Try with a different document

Check the application updates, Open app>Help>Check for update.

    Regards,

    Hi Akanchha,

Yes, I can convert via the cloud on-line but I prefer to use the desk top application. Also, I am able to use the convert application without any problems via the desk top application on my second computer (laptop) with my same account.

I should also add that I carry out a lot of work using a third-party on-line software which generates a PDF document (on-line) - when my computer attempts to generate the PDF document an on-screen message appears........ Acrobat Reader: Cryptographic system general failure.

I checked for updates which says No updates available. Installed: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (17.012.20098)

    ????????

    Regards

    Paul

I should have mentioned that I am able to read PDF documents that sit on my computer.

    Hi,

Please update Reader to the latest version from Help> Check for Updates and let us know the updated version from Help> About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Relaunch Reader after this, let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Poorvi
