Troubleshouting at Acrobat Reader ver. 2020.006.20034

I've been encountring issues with my Acrobat Reader lately.

I'm unable to save opened documents*.

I also wasn't able to blacken selected text an open file**.

I've checked for my software to be updated (see version above at the title).

I'm using PC with Windows 10 (ver. 1909).

*I'm able to bypass this problem by renaming a closed file from the Downloads folder as presented by the Windows Explorer window, but it's inconvenient.

**I thought that by logging in to my Adobe ID, I'll have more file editing capablities - hence able to blacken the text - but to no avail.

Too if I understand you right, you want to cover sensitive text with black. This is called redaction. You need a subscription to Actobat Pro or Creative Cloud All Apps. And crucially you must STOP using Acrobat Reader, and install Acrobat Pro. A subscription doesn’t give Reader the power. IMPORTANT don’t use other ways to cover text, they peel right off!
