Unable to install Adobe Acrobat Reader

Once I have downloaded the app and started the installation, it suddenly stops with the message "New version already installed", which is not true. I've tried the Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool, but nothing. and still getting the same message.

Hi antoniof,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to install Reader on the machine, is that correct?

Could you try deleting the Acrobat folder as the following thread suggests: Acrobat Reader installer says, that newer version already installed and try installing it again from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Shivam, thank you so much but unfortunately there is no trace of the Acrobat folder. So, I really don't know what the issue is.
