Where are my Adobe Reader sticky notes?

I am pulling my hair out, right about now. I am about to start working on my junior novel, and had placed sticky notes in my PDF for things to do with the novel. The sticky notes are all gone!!! Even from the PDF's that I saved a long time ago. What in the world is going on? I looked into this forum and one suggestion was to uncheck hide sticky notes (or something like that). I did that and NOTHING!!!

The Adobe Reader version that I have is XI 11.0.18. I have a MacBook Air OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5. Can somebody please tell me how to retrieve my sticky notes?

    Are you still experiencing the issue with your sticky notes?

    Is it an issue with a particular file?

    Can you share the file in which you have saved the sticky notes, so we can check it on our end?
