Windows 8.1 DC not opening IE11 or Outlook

When opening PDF documents in IE11 or direct from outlook nothing is happening and application seems to crash. If we disable protected mode everything works fine and as expected. Running the latest Patched version of DC: AcroRdrDCUpd1800920044. Version 2018.009.20044

    Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. As per the description above, IE 11 is crashing while opening any PDF file, Is that correct?

    Please check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader from Help>Check for updates. You may also repair the installation files from Help>Repair installation and then reboot the machine.
