Combine word files with links into one PDF

Hello,

I have 3 word files that I am trying to combine into one pdf.
Easy enough I go into adobe acrobat pro choose create > combine files into pdf

The problem is that one of my word files has an embedded link. It says the words "click here to go to the website" underneath the next is the link.

When I use this process the text is no longer clickable yet things like www.google.com are

Is there anything I can do to make this work.

By default the application preferences for both Reader and Acrobat cause a "pseudo" link for text strings the begin with "http" or "www". "Pseudo" in that there is not PDF link annotation over the text string.

As Yatharth suggests - processing any/all available updates for the installed Acrobat may resolve the problem.

Be well...

Hi laurap63616975,

Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system .Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595848

If you are on Windows OS, open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.

Would like to request you to please check with different as files as well to check whether is this happening to this document or not.

Also please with the Different user account .

Regards,

I am working on Windows 8

Acrobat X Pro version  10.1.16

From a word document that is in a .doc form

On the word document is says "Click Here to go to the website"

It is a hyperlink.

When you "combine files to a single PDF"  It goes through a printing process. Which basically takes a copy of what is sees on the page. Therefore to my understanding anything with a www. it recognizes as a link and makes it one but any hyperlink that does not have the address shown on the page will not become a link once merged into one document.

I am just curious if there is another way to merge multiple word files into one pdf.  Other than the long way of saving each as a pdf first before merging into one.
