Editing Problems with scanned documents

I have Acrobat DC. When I open a newly scanned document (80% text and 20% drawings) and select Edit, I do not see the bounding boxes as per the tutorial. Instead I get, "Acrobat has determined that this page does not have editable text.  If it is a scanned page, convert it to another format using the Export PDF tool."  1. WHY?

if i then select Enhance Scans / Enhance Scanned Document (with character Recognition checked) and click Enhance, then the images do get bounding boxes and the text is recognized, but the text is not inside a bounding box.  2. WHY NOT?

3. How can I move the text without losing all formatting?  It is not in a bounding box.

I am using Windows 10. l looked at the page you suggested. It is not helpful in this case. It confirms that I understand what should happen. It also mentions some settings which I don't see on my screen. I attached a screen shot.

Hi ,

Editing of scanned document is not available in Acrobat Standard.

Please upgrade to Acrobat Professional for using this feature.
