I'm trying to reinstall my original Acrobat 8 Pro software after a bad computer crash

I'm trying to reinstall my original Acrobat 8 Pro software after a bad computer crash and cannot find my original disk. I still have the original email I received from Adobe when I originally purchased my Acrobat 8 Pro. I no longer use the email address referred to in that email. [Address removed by moderator] My serial number is listed in the email, so I tried downloading a copy of the Acrobat 8 Pro EXE file from the Adobe site, but after running it, it will not accept my serial number.

I believe I had an account under my old email, but I'm sure I could not access it after all this time, and I have no idea what my password might have been. I created a new account with my new address but it obviously doesn't have my original software purchase listed.

Can anyone help with this?

I was able to get the SN input, but now I get this error.

There has to be an easier way to reinstall this app.

Hi 1diehardbiker ,

Please provide the exact error message you are getting while entering the serial number .

Also suggest you to go adobe.com/getsupport & after signing in you may initiate a chat session with a chat expert who could fix your account concerns as well .

Sorry for the delay in answering. I'm recovering from surgery.

I don't remember the exact error msg. I just said my SN was invalid.
