Converting from PDF to Word

I have been trying to convert a Map of a subdivision from PDF to Word.  Everytime I convert it the programs cuts off 1/2 of my subdivision.  NOT GOOD!.  How do I resolve this issue?  I am not liking this at the moment.  Very frustrating.  I need the full map to download.
