Is Acrobat.com online storage the same thing as workspace?

Hello,  I came across a forum that said workspace will no longer be active as of January 2016. Is workspace the same thing as the online storage for acrobat?

    Here's an article that describes what will happen when Workspaces is retired: FAQ: Adobe Workspaces is being retired.

    But, in a nutshell, online storage at cloud.acrobat.com will persist.
