photoshop wont open

i have installed the trial of photoshop CC 2014 and it says its installed. However, when I open photoshop, a small window pops up and says that

Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have no choice but to close the program. I have tried unistaling, reinstalling, downloading (but even though it says its downloading, nothing happens). What do I need to do so I can use the program.
