Error code 48 - corrupted fil

A file I was working on yesterday is now an invalid XD document.

I have looked in ~libraries/cashed/com.adobe.xd but I cannot located a temp file. Can it be anywhere else than here?

Alternatively is there a way to repair the original file.

I had this issue with a open file while XD crashed. Tried to reopen the file after relaunching XD : nothing. Finally rebooted my iMac, and the problem was gone. Hope it helps.

My team were experiencing this problem today and we diagnosed it as a DropBox/Mojave problem and have now fixed the issue.

When DropBox files are set to Online only a shortcut to the original file is created (possibly the tmp file mentioned in other posts??) however for some reason OS Mojave was treating this as the actual file which when opened was throwing the error as an incorrect file type.

To fix the problem we selected the DropBox root and from the context menu selected Smart Sync>Local once the file had downloaded and the green tick was applied to the icon we were able to open the file as normal.

I must add that we were also tested opening PSD and PDF prior to the fix and encountered similar error messages we can now open all files - so might not be the same issue as OP but worth a mention.

    Has anyone (including Adobe) found a solution to this Error code: 48? It has just happened to me and all roads lead to this post.

    I recently had the same issue on another file. This time it was a file that was created during on the previous version. But had corrections done to it on the latest version.

    Hi there,

    I have also got the same message- however, after some digging I have found the temp file with the same size as the original document but even when I rename it with the .xd extension- the error message simply appears again!!.
