Question

3D Text Presets and Cinema 4D high CPU

I've been working on a Ae Project that use Ae 3D Text presets, and what a nightmare.

My CPU shoots up to 100% at preview render.

And even after final render. Ae 2022 crashes every time. I was working on a single line (Three words, 4 seconds) of Ae 3D Text preset animation.

My Ae ( v 22.1.1) Settings on this project:

Cinema 4D -

(with render option set to 1 - Draft quality)

Video Render:

Mercury GPU Acceleration CUDA

(even with CUDA, My GPU never get utilized during this 3D text render.)

CPU: Dell Precision i7 32GB RAM

I'm in the point of giving up Ae, and look for another software for 3d text animation. Is it the Cinema 4D engine causing this high CPU usage, and Ae crash. Any thoughts?

Start by turning off multiframe rendering in the preferences. Apparently it doesn't work well with the C4D renderer. That alone could massively improve behavior.

Thanks! It did help to bring down the high CPU usage.

Also the 3d text preset I'm using:  3d fly down & unfold.
