Adding Camera Position Keyframe Breaks Audio

Hello!

I've been having this problem for a while, and it feels like im repeatedly slamming my head against a wall, with no sucess after months of troubleshooting and giving up.

I'm working on AE comps that need to be keyed to audio, so that the animations are synced to audio / music.

The Problem: adding a new camera position keyframe stops audio from previewing. Closing the program and reopening the project file allows the audio to be previewed again. (one node camera).

The projects have about 5-10 psd layers in Classic 3D, and the camera is moving around to create some depth. This problem even occurs with 1 psd picture layer, 1 audio track, and 1 camera (one node).

This problem occurs on both of my computers the exact same way.

Razer Blade 17 (i7, 64GB RAM, GTX 3070)

MacBook Pro 16 (M1 Max, 64GB RAM, 32 core gpu)

Audio Interface: Universal Audio Apollo x6

I've tried other audio interfaces. I've tried different audio sample rates and bit depth.

And tweaked with many preview and other settings, and I'm pretty strung out on this issue.

All I need to do is be able to keyframe my camera position to match the audio. Very simple stuff.

Please let me know if you have a solution or any questions 🙂 thanks!

I think that's a known bug/ issue. I've seen it at least twice. Something to do with the "Previews favor Active Camera" messing up things when there are more than two views. Start by experimenting with this setting and only use one view if you're not doing so already.

Wow yes, doing only 1 view fixes the bug.

Hopefully they fix this soon, my workflow really needs those two views at the same time!!!

Thanks!

I had this problem too and thanks for the solution. I found that you can still have the 2 Views option, just make sure to click on the "Active Camera" view area when 2 views are selected and you can hear the audio.
