After Effect crashes with all effect or plugins when I try to tweak it (Keylight, Element 3D...)

Hello there,

 

I meet a quite unusual and new issue. It concerns both AE2021, AE2022.

 

If I decide to use an effect or a plugin, such as Keylight 1.2, everything is fine: can apply my effect, suppress my greenscreen... But as soon as I try to tweak any parameters (screen matte, preblur... anything): it crashes. I just tried Glow: same same. 

Same for Element 3D (a third party plugin): easy to use, import model, see it. And as soon as I try to play with parameters in the left panel crash. And it goes on.

 

I made a fresh installation. Same thing. I tried to suppress most of the plugin, same thing.

 

I need a light and a bright one to get the problem.

Alright, I realized After Effect, tried at all cost to keep the Plugin in my Script UI Pannel.
I suppressed everything, even went in Common\CEP\Extension where some specific plugins were installed.

At first, this maneuver did nothing. Then I put back Common\CEP\Extension... And it seems that everything goes back to normal...

So probably, a plugin in my Script UI pannel?...

Let's see if everything is back to normal for real...

    It would be good to know your computer specs (RAM etc...) as it might inform us what the issue is, but my first guess would be that AE is struggling to use your graphics card.

    Try going to File > Project settings and set it to software only and see if that helps.

    Thanks a lot for your answer.

    I have an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB of RAM and a RTX 2070 Super. And I am working with Samsung Pro Nvme SSD. I had no issues until now. My drivers for the GeForce are updated.

    Unfortunately, setting to "software only" didn't change anything.

    Do you have any third party scripts/plugins running.  Since the update I also struggled until I uninstalled AEJuice.  Maybe it's something similar?

    To summarize: I can apply an effet. Not modify it or play with it anymore.
