After Effect keeps crashing

Hi I have a problem with after effects since a week or so, it keeps not responding even when i go to put a simple PNG or anithing, i mean everithing keeps crashing the app and i have videos to do, a lot, but seems like i have to go with other apps since this is not ideal, i have accumulated only stress working with AE, i need a refund or a fix, can't be that i am only losing money while working, i can't finish my works so can't get paid but i also have to pay YOU for a crappy application.

I have been wotking with premiere and AE since 2019 and every year i get some problems with AE.

The specs of my pc are:

i7 10750H

16 GB of RAM

RTX 2060

SSD INTEL 521 GB

Welcome to the community and sorry for your issue. Would you mind sharing more details so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly?

  • Is there anything specific that triggers the issue or it's random?
  • Where your media files are saved? Are they saved locally or in an external drive?
  • What happens after it freezes? Does it crash? Do you see any error messages or crash reports?

We're here to help, just need more info.

The crash is pretty random,sometimes i can do some fancy stuff and other times i can't even load a PNG without crashing, it doesn't show me any error report, it just start loading and saying the (not responding) on the top bar on an infinite loop, i have attached the screenshot of a crash and as you can see the project was nothing fancy.
All the medias that i use on the projects are located in the local SSD of the computer.

Please try the basic maintenance - 

  1. Clear media cache: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-clean-delete-or-trash-media-cache-files-in-after-effects/td-p/10634312 
  2. Reset the preferences: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342

Start by updating your graphics driver and check the relevant settings for hardware acceleration, multiframe rendering and so on. Otherwise some better info is required like the actual crash log/ event viewer info.
