Hi everyone I am not sure why my Ae is taking too much battery on my Mac M1. I openned the battery preference on mac and found out that it's been running off the screen.
It takes too much energy and makes my M1 fan always automatically activated.
I'm not sure if this is what you are encountering, but by default After Effects will render frames in the current Composition when the app is idle. This keeps the app ready to preview quickly, but you may want to turn the feature off when running on battery. See Composition > Preview > Cache Frames When Idle.
What's the make and model of your computer. Does it happen if you launch After Effects but do not open a project? Also, do you use any third-party plug-ins?
