After Effects 2022.5.0 build 53 No longer previews full length on same project 15 seconds long

Hello Fellow Members, 
Is anyone having preview issues with AE 22.5.0 b53? 
I opened the same project that previewed fully in full speed with audio for 15 seconds with no changes and now this version only plays about 1 or 3 seconds in full speed with audio then slows down to unusable speed. I tried clearing cache, restarting, shutting off all fx, and even lowering to minimal resolution to no success.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) Monterey 12.4

3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9

64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

AMD Radeon Pro 5700 8 GB

GPU external: AMD Radeon Pro W6800 32GB

    I don't know if your question is relevant to the issue. I opened up an old project that used to play completely through without slowing down on this same computer with the same hardware. And this same project with zero changes no longer plays through the 15 seconds. I don't think plugins or effects have anything to do with this issue, but rather the update has some bug. I even deleted every single effect on this rather small project and it still did not play through. I even lowered the resolution to half res and it failed. It loads all frames and the entire timeline becomes green but it does not play real time for more than a few seconds...then it switches to slow mo playback with creepy audio super slow and low.

    Hi Tran,

     

    Please try the following:

    • Go to File > Project Settings and make sure your GPU acceleration is being used.
    • Go to After Effects > Preferences > Display > toggle Hardware Accelerated Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels.
    • Instead of opening the project, try importing it into a new project.

    If nothing helps, please share a screen recording that shows the problem.
