Dear Adobe Community,

I´m running the latest version of After Effects (22.1.1) on Windows 11 and my preview window for the composition only appears black and I can´t visualize anything. I just checked and my drivers are up to date.

I´ve tried with plenty youtube tutorials with different solutions but none work. This was also an issue for me with Windows 10 and earlier versions of AE. I´d be very thankful for some help!!

Hi Tomás Axolotl,

Sorry for your issue.

Do you mind sharing the version of the Intel GPU driver that's installed? Here's how you can find: https://support.viewsonic.com/en/support/solutions/articles/33000221571-how-to-check-graphics-card-drivers-in-windows-

This issue usually gets fixed by updating the Intel GPU driver.

NOTE: Do not rely on Windows to update the driver. I'd recommend going to Intel's website and download and installing the driver manually.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

No simple answers. Keep fiddling with your graphics drivers and hardware acceleration options. If nothing else works, try to hard-disable the intel GPU in the BIOS/ EFI.
