After effects cut the out-of-artboard photoshop files, can I prevent it?

when i import photoshop files to after effects it cuts anything out of the artboards, and I need the whole image to animate it, is there anyway to import the full layers to after effects without having to position it inside the artboard (Because it misses the positioning of the whole design and it's really a complex design)
