After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! itemH cannot be NULL

Just started to get this error message while using a shape layer.

Anyone knows how to fix it please?

What's the exact version of After Effects you're using? Does it happen in a new project as well?

Please try resetting the preferences of After Effects and see if that brings any change.

I'm using the 22.2.1 version. The problem is happening also when creating a new project.

I've reset the preferences and the problem is solved!
