AI and EPS Files not Importing

Hi All

I've been conflicted with an issue for a while now in using After Effects and importing AI or EPS files. I used to be able to without any issue but now when using them on a PC at work I constantly get Unknown parse errors or PDF Files are open or in use in other applications when importing. Macs at work run just fine on the latest AE builds and we have the PC on the same build but it crashes when opening a project built on a Mac that has an AI or EPS file in it. We used to use a workflow to bring the vectors in and then create shape or mask layers directly in After Effects. We have been trying to fix this issue but it persists on the PC. Any help would be appreciated. We recently uninstalled and reinstalled all the adobe products that were in use on the PC and it's still an issue.

My question may seem silly but, is the color mode of your files RGB? make sure it is in RGB and not in CMYK (it has all happened to us sometime in life). Let's start by ruling out that possibility.

Yeah. Someone else asked that same question and we checked. I recently came across it is most likely something happening with our EditShare server. The same files work fine locally and when pulled from another server.

So, the issue is on the server. You must tell your company's network administrator your problem to help you configure it correctly or request EditShare support.

Also same issue in 2018 as we are in 2019 right now.
