cc Star Burst doesn't work

When applying cc Star Burst to a white solid the result should be white stars on a black background. I try this and it does not work. I get very light grey "stars" on a white background. Any helkp would be appreciated. Thanks.

CC Star Burst should give you white dots on a transparent background.  If your checkerboard is on, then this would look like light grey balls.

Screenshots? Info about your version of AE? Your system? Color management settings? You need to be more specific.
