Change the contents of a copied composition

Hello people,
I am relatively inexperienced with After Effects. I picked up a template that has several compositions in it. However, the video is too short for me in length, so I want to use several of the existing compositions multiple times. The problem is, when I duplicate a composition, I am always shown the contents of the copied composition, even when I change it out. I have already read that all the elements of a composition must also be duplicated. I did that, but still the original element of the copied composition is shown to me in the timeline, even though both compositions now show me different elements. I show you some screens for better understanding:

Photo 1:
Shows the copied 05 Shot named 05 Shot 2. The picture it shows is still the same as the original 05 Shot, but in the top left corner you can see the new picture i added in the also copied 05 Placeholder 2.

Photo 2:
Shows the original comp 05 Shot, which i copied (see Photo 1)

Photo 3:
Shows the elements of the copied comp. It holds the Placeholder and the Text. Notice here, that the picture in the top left is the same as the original comp, i copied from. Like you can see in Photo 1, in the timeline this comp shows the new replaced image.

Photo 4:
Shows the effect on the comp (Mosaic). This comp holds another comp (Pre-comp) PH 28. This is also a copy of the original (Map 25 / Pre-comp 25)

Photo 5:
Shows the Pre-comp 28 cmp, that is included in the Map 28 comp and is holding the Placeholder for the image too. But here you can see, that the image is the new one.

So only in timeline and in the copied Comp 05 Shot 2 it shows the wrong image (from the original comp) even if it holds the right placeholder with the new image.

Duplicate the comp in the project window, including al further nested pre-compositions, which is the thing you are missing. You may want to download a script liek True Comp Duplicator on AESCripts.com if you struggle with this.
