Content awareness fill and masking issue

I'm trying to remove a logo and I'm using masking and tracking manually. When I set the mask to subtract it removes the masked area and it's transparent not a black blob. So the content awareness doesn't recognize the area. Help.

CAF needs a bit of area around anything it fills to work its magic. If the logo is placed near the edge or theere are other issues it simply may not work. anyway, as Rick said, show us something. Longwinded verbal explanations are pretty much useless to diagnose such issues.

It didn't work. The original video is so low res. I just clipped around that part of the video. no worries. The transparency advices help for future projects. Thank you.

The masked area would be black if you turned off the Transparency Grid. If the footage is appropriate, and there are enough pixels surrounding the area you want to clean up, CAF should work just fine. You may need to create some reference frames.

If the Logo is stationary in the shot and attached to something small, Content-Aware Fill is probably going to have a very difficult time automatically generating a clean fill. The AI is good, but it needs some replacement pixels from somewhere.

If you can share the shot or at least a frame of the shot and describe the movement in the shot, we can give you a better suggestion. You may be better off using Mocha AE to track the logo, create a clean plate in Photoshop, and then use that to remove the logo. That's what I do most of the time when I need to remove a logo from something that is moving in a shot. Embedding a frame of the video by dragging it to the reply field or using the toolbar instead of attaching it using the Attach button at the bottom, will help us help you efficiently fix your shot.
