Create a unique premade layer animation from dropdown in effect panel?

Hi!

 

I'm looking for a way that a team of people can quickly animate, with 1 click, an image layer, specifically the opacity, position and scale. Ideally there would be an effect on the layer which has a drop down of options to specify which of 8 premade animations with keyframes and the correct speed ramp on each. Is this possible?

You'd either have to hard-code all the motion inside expressions or have the reference animations stored somewhere like in a pre-comp. The latter doesn't even need to be used anywhere, just referenced in the expressions. So yes, it's definitely possible, but you have to provide more specific info on what we are talking about here. Doing this with a simple linear motion is completely different from gtting it to work with complex motions where each property may have different timings.

Thank you for that. I think expression is the way to go in my case. Something I shall need to learn really.
