Error 0Xc000007b When Starting After Effects

Recently I've been getting that exact error whenever I tried to open After Effects. At first I was getting an error regarding missing VC++ package .dll files, which was rather strange as I've just reinstalled every VC++ package already. So I tried downloading the missing ones manually. After installing them, I've then been getting this error instead. Already tried reinstalling After Effects, and like I said above I did just reinstall all the VC++ packages already, both x64 and x86. So what else can I try?

Hi Aleksander.

Welcome to the Community.

This error could be related to the GPU driver installed on the computer and can be resolved by uninstalling the video driver and reinstalling it. If your GPU driver is out of date, it's recommended to update it.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

Without any system info nobody can tell you much. This is most likely a very specific driver conflict. Start by checking your device manager and Windows Update for new software and updated drivers. Similarly, verify your permissions on drivers and services. In case of doubt, uninstalling and reinstalling in save mode with admin privileges may be necessary.
