Everything in Preview window is darker

Anytime I create a comp, what I see is many shades darker than it should be. I create new projects, new comps, restart, nothing changes it. Any ideas what is causing this?

This was a stupid post, the opacity was lowered on the fill. Don't mind me- just a monday

It's definitely an opacity related issue. Despite it being at 100% it's getting color from the background.
