Hi After Effects Community! So how do I Extract a Video from within a Video? For Example, how do I extract the video (as you can see) on the Laptop (in the video file attached to this post) and make it its own video file?

I would do it like this.

1. You do the tracking by mocha or something.

2. You create a matte and put it on the trackig data.

3. You mask out the part from the original source.

There are some video tutorials in the link.

You would mask and pre-composeit, unwarp it with a Corner Pin effect in the parent comp and render it to its own clip. No magic involved. Given how cheap the whole thing looks, though, it likely could easily be re-created from scratch in the same time and look a million times better.

Can you make a Video showing me how to do:

  • A. You would mask and pre-composeit, unwarp it with a Corner Pin effect in the parent comp and render it to its own clip. No magic involved.
  • B. re-create the thing from scratch in the same time and make it look a million times better?
