How do you stop using Refine Edge Tool in the middle of a layer?

I'm chuggin along with Refine Edge, and after a few seconds, I wanted it to stop, before I finished the layer.

Do I have to delete the Edge outline in every frame coming up?

Or is there a nice way to 'click' and stop using the Edge and keep the Edge's I already made?

Thanks!

Letty

Correct answer Rick Gerard

Split the layer, select the layer where you want to remove Refine Edge, press the U key twice and look for Edge Refinement Strokes in the timeline. Delete them.

Any time you want to modify any property you have changed, select the layer, press 'uu' to reveal all changes, then fix the ones that need fixing.

Split the layer, remove the effects.

But what if I want to keep rotobrush, and just stop the Refine edge?    When I uncheck the Refine, the whole thing dissapears.
