So this is weird... AE shows my second GPU in the GPU info window in the preview section of the settings menu... I have set windows graphics settings for AE to use only the first GPU / system GPU... But it still shows that the second GPU is being used for previews and I cant find any place to tell AE to only use the first GPU / system GPU

Is there anyway of telling AE to use a specific GPU? I cant find it...

I have two GPU's a 3060 for running main monitor and adobe apps... Then a 3090 for running Unreal Engine... The goal of setting it up this way is to run AE and UE at the same time and be able to jump back and forth... I was orginally using a single 3090 but AE would crash a lot (assuming this was a Vram issue with both apps trying to allocate memory) So if I can keep AE using 65 gigs of ram and 50% of CPU and running only on the 3060 with 12gigs vram... AE should run fine... then UE gets the 3090 and the rest of the ram and CPU...

AE why are you so difficult... lol

You may be able to specify it, using NVIDIA control panel.

Manage 3D Settings > Program settings > Choose After Effects > Choose 3060.
