Running AE 23.2 and 3d objects wont import

Is there a setting that needs changed? I was running an older version
(17.0) and seen 23.1 gave native support to obj. I upgraded and obj files do not show as acceptable import files and when I try to import it anyway, it errors out. All help is appricaited.
