Timeline and comp windows flicker and cycle through all open comps

Everytime I RAM preview or stop a preview, and even make other changes, the comp window flickers and the timeline window flashes through ALL the timeline comps before returning to the one I'm in.

I have no idea what's going on and I've never experienced this before. I'm on Windows 10 for the first time, so I don't know if it's Adobe or Windows.

My computer has 128GB of RAM so, it's not a memory issue. I have 2 monitors plus a Cintiq so I thought maybe it was a display issue and tried updating the NVIDIA driver.  The project is pretty basic, mostly shape layers and text, minimal expressions and jpgs.

It's driving me crazy and slowing down even the most basic tasks.

Any ideas on what to try?
