Translucent "Glass" Animation not transferring to Premiere Pro after MOGRT file creation

I  am attempting to create a lower third animation that incorporates the usage of a translucent background to display information about the song; however, when viewed in premiere pro, the translucent "rectangle" is no longer visible. The box was created with the "fast box blur" effect. 

 

Additionally, I have attempted to create a music waveform that is reactive to the song which will be playing; however, I have not found a way to edit the music the waveform is reading from within Premiere Pro after exporting the file as a .MORGRT. I am not fully sure whether or not the template I am envisioning is possible.

Fast Box Blur will  affect footage in the MOGRT, but not footage in the Video Track(s) below the MOGRT.  Could it work to use a blur effect on the Premiere Pro side like Gaussian Blur?  The options for masking an Effect in Premiere Pro could be used to limit the blur to the box that it would have been limited to on the After Effects side.  The tricky part might be how the MOGRT animates on and off.

Doing something beats-reactive is probably going to need to use Dynamic Link instead of a MOGRT.  You could place a Color Matte (File > New > Color Matte) above the audio clip in a Premiere Pro Sequence and the right-click and choose Replace with After Effects Composition (the Color Matte could be any picture - it's only needed to get the audio clip over to After Effects as this option is meant for sending picture and not sound).  Hide or delete the Color Matte on the After Effects side and create the beats-reactive animation as you would otherwise in After Effects.  Save and return to Premiere Pro and the Comp will be where the Color Matte was over the music.  On the Premiere Pro side, select the Comp and the audio and then choose Clip > Link if you want the two media items behave like a video clip with sound.

    Thank you for the detailed reply. Your first suggestion about how what footage is affected gave me the idea to "force the graphic" by composing the animation with a translucent background which would simulate the glass. Your second suggestion was equally as helpful, however, due to processing constraints I will likely be unable to implement it as only my desktop can render these effects. Hopefully, the discrepancy between the audio waveform on the graphic and what is being heard will not be too noticeable. Thank you for all of your help.
