Unable to highlight last character of text

As of recently, when clicking to highlight a section of text, it no longer grabs the last character. And it doesn't let me click on it either. Is anyone else having this problem? It's driving me crazy.

    That's apparently a bug in the recent versions of AE that still hasn't been fixed properly. Try to type an extra space at the end. Also depending on the system using the keyboard shortcuts to select text may work.
