Video preview looks green when i switched Video Rendering and Effects to Mercury Software Only

Hi,

I am using After Effects 2021 on the latest Windows 11 version (22H2 Build 22621.1105).

My hardware includes

GPU

NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

Dedicated GPU memory: 2.0 GB

Shared GPU memory: 6.0 GB

GPU Memory: 8.0 GB

CPU

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz

Memory

12.0 GB

Speed: 2666 MHz
Form factor: DIMM

I typically use Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA) for video rendering and effects, but for some Heavy Projects I get this error message :-

The project in question has a 1080x1920 resolution at 30 fps and uses H.264 .mp4 files as footage sources with the same resolution and fps as the comp.

I switch to Mercury Software Only to avoid the Error Messages, but then the preview has a Green Cast.

Interestingly, this issue does not occur on Macs. When I open the same project on a Mac with Video Rendering and Effects set to Mercury Software Only, the preview plays and renders as expected in Media Encoder. On Windows, the green cast is baked into the rendered output even in Media Encoder.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks that worked!

What could be the downsides off turning that off?
