Adobe animate cc tool extensions

In adobe animate, whenever I click on the tool extensions, they pop up and then disappear instantly. For example, if I click on the arrow of the rectangle tool to get to the rectangle primitive tool, that box extension appears and then will disappear instantly. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed it, I have restarted my computer, but the problem still persists. This is not happening on any of my other adobe cc programs. Is there any way to fix this?
