Brush tool the cursor jumps and creates a huge line across my canvas

hi guys I've just recenly installed the 2020 ver. of animate and whenever I use the brush tool the cursor jumps and creates a huge line across my canvas this problem doesnt happen with the 2019 ver. or animate or any other adobe apps. I thought it may have been my tablet but it is all up to date. is there anything I can do to resolve this problem
