If you got the opensourced game from Github but can`t get it to run, then it can have multiple reasons.

For future posts: Be more precise if you want concrete help. You were extreme lucky that I stumbled over this app the other day and could construct a connection to what you were trying to say., like for example

If it's an "app" as in mobile (phone/tablet), you may need a subscription. If you plan to develop your app for iOS (iPhone/iPod/iPad) then you'll need an Apple Developer account ( http://developer.apple.com ). Otherwise for example if you have an Android (phone/tablet) you can create a temporary certificate. You need these certificates to install the app into a device for development testing and eventually finally deployment.

Aside that, you already have Flash Builder but limited knowledge of AS3. Learning AS3, game and app development all at the same time is a little ambitious. You might want to step back and learn AS3 first, dabble in some easier AIR applications, read up on game development techniques and then start again.

Otherwise if you really want to jump straight into it, I'd suggest you give up on the game you want to build and go through a Flash Builder game tutorial. By the end of it you'll have a basic grasp on enough of everything mentioned above to complete your own game. Here's an Adobe article to start you off (plenty more on Google):
