Workflow to build HTML project for later AIR conversion?

Hi,

We need to build a multi-page HTML app in Animate including raster graphics, video, animations, buttons, multiple-choice questions and reporting. This will be hosted on the client server. We also need to publish it for desktops (Win & Mac), as a single executable file.

The only way I can see this working is build the project in HTML canvas and then convert it to AIR for desktop publishing and publish to .exe and .app, unless someone can tell me otherwise? (I have managed to convert the HTML export to a single OS X app via Nativefier (GitHub - jiahaog/nativefier: Make any web page a desktop application ) but the Windows version has hundreds of files and subfolders, rather than just a single executable).

What would be the best way to build the HTML canvas project in Animate, as to have the AIR project conversion be as pain-free and having as little updates needed as possible?

Thanks,

PJ
