Adjusting content for various responsive devices

I've got a responsive design done, where I want to eliminate a logo element from the iPhone device display but keep it for the desktop and iPad device displays. According to the tutorial I reviewed, I should just be able to move it to the "waste area" off the active whiteboard in the iPhone version, then still see it in the other versions. No luck - when I move it off the active artboard in the iPhone display, I then no longer see it at all in the other views. What am I doing wrong?

The only time I don't get the "Option" box is in the Root Fluid Box.. is your object in that? Every other box has it, its right at the top. I'm working on my own mobile project at the moment...

    Cheers,

    Steve

Yes, it's in the root Fluid Box – I'll try moving it out...

Can you post a screenshot of the stage and the Fluid Box Selector? Need to see the setup for Wrap as well. Optional will only work when the Wrap is set either to Squeeze in a Column (for vertical flow) or Squeeze in a Row for the parent fluid box of the optional fluid box. Is that the case?

I thought you were working in Breakpoint view because the tutorial which you mentioned described the work flow for Breakpoint. View work flow.

Which version are you using, please? What you describe make me suspect that you are using CO9 and Breakpoint views, because then it was indeed by dragging an object out of a (lower) breakpoint to the scratch area that it should disappear from that view. If you are on CP2017, are you using the Breakpoint views or Fluid Boxes?

    Hi CJ,

You have to tag the Fluid Box  as "optional" in order for it to be ignored when you resize to mobile. It in the properties of the Fluid box.

I'm running Captivate 2017 (v. 10.0.0.192) onMac OS X El Capitan. I selected the Fluid Box and checked the properties tab, but I have no selection there to make it "Optional"?
