Adobe Captivate Message When Opening Project

What does this message mean? I get in when opening a project in Captivate 8.

This can indeed be due to many causes, not only the ones mentioned in the dialog box. Do you launch Captivate as administrator? Was the file properly closed? Those are other questions, besides having everything locally: installation of Captivate, default location of files and of cache files.

It's Adobe-speak for: "Captivate is having trouble opening the file, here are a few things to try."

What it doesn't say:

Make sure the file is on a LOCAL drive, be sure you're running the Captivate application as administrator, backup your work at least daily.
